Watercolor Bold & Free
Watson-Guptill, New York, 1980
Classic! Watercolor Bold & Free, Lawrence Goldsmith's manual on painting (published by Watson-Guptill) is a classic in its field. The hardcover edition sold nearly 70,000 copies, and the book is now available in paperback. Text and reproductions of more than 30 watercolors are the same in both editions. The paintings are now at least 25 years old. Still useful for instruction, they are now gaining value as collector's items. Happily, works of art a quarter of a century old, and thus surviving as veterans, sometimes jump in value rather quickly. A few originals of the watercolors in the book are still available. They may be upcoming classics. Contact the artist-writer if you are interested in becoming a collector. Don't forget to stop by Amazon.com and purchase your copy of the book today.
